What we are not

Operators cannot pay for placement

No operator can buy a position, a badge or a mention. The order of the cards follows rating and review volume, the badges are arithmetic — highest review count, highest rating, lowest per-person price, the platform's own sell-out flag — and a tour that leaves out something its own title implies has that stated on its card whether it flatters the listing or not.

They are taken from the site authority's own published information and, where the history is concerned, from the excavation record. Where sources disagree — and on the opening time they do — the visitor information page says so rather than picking the convenient one.
